I decided to take a trip to visit a friend in Vancouver. I was there for a life-changing 4 days, where I had time to enjoy myself and reflect. What I enjoyed most about Vancouver, besides the company, was the common attitude that I found in so many Vancouverites. All I would in my travels would be to talk to strangers, and I was always greeted with a sense of ambition and adventure - evident even in my host. It is definitely a city I will re-visit, and one to keep in mind for settling. I enjoyed a night of Youth Slam, where I was impressed with the content and lyrical integrity of the messages of their group 18 - 23. I also had the privilege of utilizing their public transportation system, consisting of new busses, sky trains, and AQUA BUSSES!! I had wonderful time - Thanks so much to Vic, for putting me up, getting me my very first Vancouver mapbook, and for showing me a side that I might never have experienced. Thanks also to Lisa, Vic's cousin, for showing me to Langara station, and for the wonderful talks about life. Hope you all enjoy, <3 Val

a lovely couple that I met, and shared both an aquabus ride and a skytrain ride with. we talked about our experiences (mine being much shorter than their extensive yearly visits there). they gave to me a pair of passes that they were not going to use! thank you much :)
